About the Author Douglas A. Fales
Douglas A. Fales (1929- ), artist and author, derives inspiration from his Eastern Ontario rural setting in Glengarry County. He wrote and illustrated "Glengarry Forever" (1972, Borealis), "A Kite On The Wind" (1973, Borealis), "Glengarry Sketchbook "(1976, Borealis) and "Highland Games Sketchbook" (1982, Borealis). As an artist, he works in oils, pastels and conté. His excellent draughtsmanship helps him depict marine scenes, portraits of historic First Nations people, and landscapes.
