About the Book Tempers are flaring at the Canadian barracks as time drags on for them overseas. Their loneliness and frustration is heightened because of the six renegades who are now residing amongst them. The men are feeling isolated from their families and from the world. Where has the music gone to in their lives?
Suspense builds as Johann's puppy, Hundy, races over to the empty children's sleeping car and does something he never does - he barks.
